Once upon a time, there was and there wasn’t. In a plain full of pink and blue flowers, a little girl named Pouya lived. One morning, Pouya found a pencil among the soft grass that sparkled like a star. This was not an ordinary pencil; it was the Peace Pencil. Whatever Pouya drew with it smelled of friendship and calm.
Pouya waved her pencil in the air and drew a big, pink cloud. The cloud was as soft as cotton candy. Pouya jumped onto the cloud and felt how light she had become. She said to herself, “This cloud is a good place to rest from all tiredness.”
The pink cloud drifted slowly across the sky. Pouya lay down on the cloud and looked at the blue sky. In her heart, she wished that everywhere in the world could be like this cloud—calm and kind. A cool breeze gently stroked her hair.
Suddenly, a small white bird sat beside Pouya. The bird was sad because it had lost its voice. Pouya kindly held out her hand, and the bird perched on her finger. Pouya said, “Don’t worry, my friend, the Peace Pencil will help us.”
Pouya picked up her pencil and drew a golden musical note in the air. The musical note shone like the sun and smelled of jasmine flowers. Pouya gave the note to the bird as a gift so it could sing again.
The bird took the golden note and began to sing. Its song was so beautiful and peaceful that all the flowers in the plain below the cloud began to bloom. The bird circled around Pouya and flapped its wings happily.
Now it was time for Pouya to find a way to connect the earth and the sky. With the Peace Pencil, she drew a tall, rainbow-colored bridge. A bridge that started from above the clouds and went all the way to faraway places.
Pouya and the bird walked together on the rainbow bridge. Everywhere they stepped, little stars lit up beneath their feet. They laughed together and enjoyed watching the beautiful world.
From up there, Pouya looked down at the houses. Everywhere was filled with light and calm. She understood that with the Peace Pencil and a kind heart, it is possible to turn the whole world into a more beautiful place. She held her pencil tight in her arms.
Night arrived, and the stars woke up in the sky. Pouya fell asleep on the silver moon she had drawn herself. The bird snuggled beside her too. The Peace Pencil was under Pouya’s head and gifted her colorful, sweet dreams. Good night, kind Pouya.
